In some countries, an overnight selection camp is organized where applicants have a chance to stay at a UWC for a night and meet current students as well as other applicants.
This opportunity is usually when the applicant succeeds in the first stage: the written application one.
The overnight selection camp is a nerve wracking process and is extremely challenging. It includes the following things in which active participation is highly recommended:
- A multiple choice test comprising of basic mathematics and English
- Team games (to test how you work in a group)
- Alumni Interviews
- Faculty interviews
- Object of personal significance presentation (where the applicant needs to bring an object and speak on how it has significance in his/her life)
- Group Discussion (to test how you can think out of the box and positively)
- Written tasks (to test English literary skills)
The interviews play a major role in the applicant's performance and it is recommended that applicants refrain from memorizing answers as anything unexpected can be asked.
