Application process:

  1. Fill in an application that comprises of basic family information and 5 essays
  2. If the applicant gets selected, you will be invited for an 24 hour overnight selection camp at the UWC Mahindra College campus in Pune.
(The overnight selection camp is a nerve wracking process and is extremely challenging. It includes the following things in which active participation is highly recommended:
  1. A multiple choice test comprising of basic mathematics and english
  2. Team games
  3. Alumni Interviews
  4. Faculty interviews
  5. Object of personal significance presentation (where the applicant needs to bring an object and speak on how it has significance in his/her life)
  6. Group Discussion
  7. Written tasks (to test english literary skills)
The interviews play a major role in the applicant's performance and it is recommended that applicants refrain from memorising answers as anything unexpected can be asked.

Note: Every year only 60-65 students get selected in a UWC. 50 of them continue studies in UWC India in Pune and the rest are sent to UWCs around the world as representatives of India. If an applicant wants to get selected in a UWC abroad, they would have to perform extremely good at the overnight selection camp.
